A card game, a murder with a cast iron skillet, a local sheriff seeking justice for a friend, and a gang of four trying to be above the law...

STYLE

Amador shares many of the trappings and themes of a classic Western. While being firmly set in our present reality, the film will draw on this rich legacy through its shooting style, pace, and score:

Cinematography will heighten the internal drama with extreme close-ups and echo the universal themes with grand vistas, as well as dynamic compositions that ooze drama. Long takes will ratchet up tension and ignite into bursts of action and revelation. An epic score will fill the landscape with majesty and hints at the fire and torment trapped behind the characters’ eyes.

This grand bombastic style will contrast sharply with the long ago tamed ‘Wild West’ of today, expanding this rich genre to include the scourge of domestic violence and the painful decision to remove a loved one from life support.
